2008 Hank Gibson Memorial OBFN Provincial Qualifier
The 2008 Hank Gibson Provincial Qualifier will be held on Lake Simcoe/Lake Couchiching (Orillia, ON) on August 23rd and 24th.  Find out your club allotment, then complete the 2008 Hank Gibson Provincial Qualifier entry form and submit it along with your cheque payment to your local club.

Please note that we have included with the entry form, the B.A.S.S. current tournament rules, the OBFN rules, and the contract the 12 winning Anglers and 1 Alternate Angler will have to sign to move on to the 2009 Eastern Divisional.

The OBFN early bird entries deadline is Friday, May 9th, 2008.
 

2008 Mississauga Bassmasters Bass Tournament Series 

All B.A.S.S. Tournaments:

  • Entries must be paid in full by the final registration date.
  • Anglers unable to attend the registration meetings may pay in advance.
  • Non-boater positions will be filled on a first paid - first served basis.
  • All entries are to be registered with the Tournament Director.
  • Boaters must make available proof of minimum $1,000,000 liability insurance.
  • All anglers must have a current membership with B.A.S.S.
  • All entry fees are $60 per angler per tournament.
  • All the 2008 club bass tournaments are designated as OBF Lowrance Angler of the Year Qualifying lakes.

2008 Mississauga Bassmasters Alternative Species Tournament Series

  • Entry fees are $30 per angler per tournament
  • Paybacks to be determined prior to blast off. 
  • No big fish prize.
  • No minimum size limits on any fish.
  • Live bait permitted, trolling is allowed.
  • Dead fish will be disqualified from weigh-ins.

2008 Six-Man Team Tournament

An added bonus for BASS members (that started in 2006) is the newly introduced Triton Federation Nation BASS Club World Championship (BCWC) presented by Mercury. This new format allows each state (including Ontario, Canada) to qualify a six-angler club team for a national championship event.  The team that wins takes home a fully-rigged Triton/Mercury package for each member, for a total value of $250,000 USD.

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007 on Glouchester Pool was the site of the second annual 2007 6-Man BCWC (Bass Club World Championship) Qualifier.

Congratulations to your Team Mississauga representatives who will travel to the Bass Club World Championship Eastern Divisional in the United States this July 22nd - 25th, 2008.  The site will be Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh, New York.  The team members are Fraser Muir, Neil Elsliger, Dave Scarr, Kris Wiita, George Halushka and Leonard Eng.

Winners from the Lake Champlain event will proceed on to Lake Winnipesaukee in Laconia, NH on September 14th - 19th, 2008.

The final leg of this journey ends at the Bass Club World Championship Finals scheduled for October 6th to 11th, 2008.  Site to be announced.
